AI-powered camera looks for Duran Duran at BST Hyde Park

Looks for the live camera feeds that used AI to lift the band out of the background and restyle them on the big screens, in time with the music.

What we did

In summer 2022 we created the looks for Duran Duran’s headline show at BST Hyde Park. Building on their previous show, the band wanted to take their visuals further and give their fans something special. Our approach used AI: AI background removal lifted the band out of the stage behind them, so we could restyle them in filtered looks on the big screens (the live camera feeds, known as IMAG), in time with the music.

Notch, who make the real-time software we used, published the show as a case study on their website, crediting our Notch designer. Its credits list Flying Couch as the production company, with Mesmer and Visualedge as video producers.
