The brief
The Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone is where people come to drive the cars and get to know the brand. Its curved LED wall needed to be something visitors use, not just watch: walk up and explore the cars with your hands, with no touchscreen, controller or app to learn.
What we built
Working with Trison, who supplied the LED screen, we designed and delivered the complete interactive system around it: the interactive software, the real-time content, the sensor tracking that turns a visitor’s hand into a pointer, and the hardware that runs it. We installed and commissioned it all on site.
- A knowledge quiz. Visitors test what they know about Porsche, answering by pointing at the wall.
- Customise. Visitors recolour a 911 by waving across it.
- 360° view. Visitors turn a car and open hotspots that explain its features.
How it works
A sensor reads the space in front of the wall and tracks where a visitor is pointing, so nobody needs to touch the screen. The content is generated live rather than played back as video, which is what lets the paint reveal follow a hand instead of running a fixed animation.
