An interactive projection room for VMI Studios

Projectors, a custom media server, projection-ready surfaces and LiDAR interaction, supplied and installed for VMI Studios in Brixton.

The projection room wrapped on three walls in a sunny rooftop terrace with a striped parasol and a street of new buildings.

The brief

VMI Studios wanted an immersive projection room in its Brixton space that its own team could run and create content for.

What we delivered

We specified, supplied and installed the system:

Projection. Three Epson 4K projectors, with the room’s surfaces painted for projection.
Playback. A custom-built media server.
Display and cabling. An LG OLED screen, plus cable trunking throughout the room.
Interaction. A LiDAR sensor added in a second phase, so the projections respond to people in the room.
