What it is

Living Portrait characters are life-size digital humans designed to hold a spoken conversation. A visitor asks a question out loud, and the character listens, answers in its own voice with matching lip movement, and stays in character while it does.

Where it fits

  • Museums and heritage. Historical figures who answer visitors’ questions about their own lives, grounded in the venue’s own research.
  • Reception and hospitality. A front-of-house character that greets visitors, answers common questions and checks people in.
  • Brand spaces. A brand ambassador or product expert who knows the range inside out.

What it’s built to do

  • Custom characters. A fictional character, a receptionist, a historical figure, a teacher or a member of staff.
  • Works offline. Designed to run on local systems, so it keeps working without an internet connection.
  • Quick replies. Answers in around two to three seconds.
  • Voice and face cloning. A copy of a real person’s voice, plus a scan and animation that capture their likeness and mannerisms.
  • Idle behaviour. The character stays engaging even when nobody is talking to it.
  • Live data. Connections for email bookings, check-in, location data, APIs and motion detection.
