The situation

Colchester Castle’s galleries are full of interactive exhibits added over several years: a chariot race game, projected stories inside the prison cells, a Roman soldier interactive, a bow and arrow game and touchscreens across the museum. When one stops working, visitors notice.

What we do

We look after the castle’s interactive exhibits, from maintenance visits to call-outs whenever something needs attention. We inspect, clean and repair the installations, improve the visitor experience where we can, and give the museum team a clear written record of everything we check and fix.

Why aftercare matters

Interactive exhibits are used by thousands of visitors, and like anything that well used, they need ongoing care. Regular attention keeps every exhibit working the way it was designed to, protects the museum’s investment and means every visitor gets the full experience. We’re proud to keep caring for the castle’s galleries, and we offer the same ongoing care to other museums and attractions.
