A dark room glowing with projected light, with a sculpted tree at its centre, waterfalls on the pillars and a floor of blue water and green moss.

The brief

Garden of Light was a charity installation in support of the William Harvey Hospital, commissioned from Pixel Artworks. The aim was to turn a public space into somewhere people would want to wander through and linger, with the whole room responding to them.

What we did

We built the interactive elements in Notch and handled the technical integration, so each part of the room responded smoothly to the people moving through it.

  • The garden floor lights up and ripples as people walk across it.
  • The waterfall responds to whoever stands in front of it.
  • The seasons wall turns from winter to summer around a nebula tree that shifts with the seasons.
